The Manager, Market Access facilitates positive momentum towards launching pipeline products within the Market Access department by drawing on a thorough understanding of each Market Access function (Trade, Patient Access, Hub Services, Government Affairs and Corporate Accounts). The Manager, Market Access builds relationships throughout the organization, coordinates activities across multiple business divisions of the company, and develops key materials for internal and external use, including: channel strategy, marketing pieces (e.g., CADs, MPAs, Trade, Government Affairs), internal and customer-facing presentations, and training materials. This role is a critical contributor in the pre and post launch period for market conditioning and launch execution. The Manager, Market Access will report directly into the Director, Trade Channel Strategy. The Manager, Market Access will be responsible for in-line ALS products that are already in market as well pre-launch activities of Parkinson’s Disease pipeline products.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct responsibility for developing access marketing tactics and operational support to the Market Access organization.to support current therapies as well as in support of a planned product launch.
  • Development of Patient Access Services/Reimbursement Services for providers, patients and care givers for pharmaceutical and device combination products.Access marketing responsibilities include payer, hub, copay marketing materials, HCP overview pieces, field training of these materials, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) etc.
  • Liaison between market access, MTPA leadership team and field teams, including Managers of Patient Access, Corporate Account Directors, Government Affairs.
  • Operational responsibilities include agency management, budget, conference logistics and marketing materials.
  • Be seen as a key leader with the field and home office personnel and participate in special project as required.
  • Apply in-depth understanding of reimbursement issues, payer segments, process to plan and drive account support for necessary Managed Markets
  • Works closely with Product Management Review Committee (PMRC) to ensure all Market Access materials (including reimbursement, patient services, distribution materials and messages) within market access are approved for use.
  • Works closely together with the other parts of the organization as required to develop materials and presentations for entire market access team which includes CADs, MPAs, Trade and Government Affairs.
  • Oversees the vendor management process to ensure proper procedure is followed and efficiencies are used to minimize vendor project costs.
  • Completes all company-based and job-related training as assigned by MTPA within the required timeline.
  • Additional duties as assigned by MTPA management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business major
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of product management, marketing and/or international business experience. Prefer pharmaceutical industry exp
  • Thorough understanding of the drug commercialization process
  • Familiarity with all aspects of U.S. market access including specialty pharmacies, hub services, and distribution including sites of care
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access), and use of customer relationship management (CRM) system.

  • Must be able to travel up to 20% domestically and at time possibly internationally

The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $149,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program. Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
